#7 Proved that there is a driver issue with the native build on nvidia right now, this issue tries to adress that.

Find a possible workaround that doesn't rip open the entire code base, and can be removed once nvidia publishes a fixed driver.
If that is not possible, then that is also a acceptable resolution to this issue.
