  New

  • Kernel 7.3.0 (milos-linux combined-stable on v7.3.0-milos).
  • The sound card is named MILOS-Fairphone-Gen6, as upstream names it. The audio topology and UCM profile (soc-fairphone-fp6-audio 5) are installed under that name and under the old one, so audio works on either kernel.

  Fixes

  • Wifi now loads the proper firmware, 5GHz bands now work and authentication no longer times out. (Found by @brandoncheeseb:matrix.org)

  • Updated imsd to 1.0.0
  • Updated fingerprintd to 0.2.6
  • fp6-img.tar.xz is now named fp6-img-plasma.tar.xz and extracts to fp6-img-plasma/ (cd there before ./install.sh); the Phosh image is fp6-img-phosh.tar.xz.
  • Release notes: every release is a dated entry on the releases page from now on. The downloads stay in latest.
  • The distro is called Nura now, after postmarketOS's own rename (https://nura.eco/blog/2026/09/27/nura-rename/).

  Fixes

  • Possibly fixed the device restarting after charging at low battery.
  • GPS: Alpine's newer ModemManager had come to outrank the patched one, so apk upgrade swaps it for Alpine's, which lacks the GPS unlock; the patched one is ahead again. Already installed phones can upgrade and restart ModemManager and imsd.
